One of my tanks contains tetrazona barbs, 14 adults and 4 juveniles. The problem is that the adults won't let the time to the juveniles to eat, unless I give a large amount of food. I hate doing it for pollution concerns.

Does someone have tips or experiences that would help me to feed adequately the juveniles without polluting the tank ?

Just feed small amounts until all the fish stop eating.

Then put the smaller ones in a grow out tank until they can compete for food.

I have this problem with my cichlids. To solve it I feed pellets and flake. I put the pellets in first and the adults eat them right away. While the adults are "chewing" the pellets I put in the flake which makes it to the bottom where the babies and catfish get their share.

I have the same problem. My african peacocks would not allow any NLS pellet sink to bottom :naughty: .And my catfish never had a chance to catch a single pellet from the bottom. But i like the ideal of feed pellet first and flake while the adult chewing :headbang2
