I just picked up two feeding cones because I thought they looked like a good idea. So last night I stuck it inside the glass and plopped in a chunk of bloodworms.... after about 2 minutes of pecking at it my discus got frustrated and ignored it.. the holes seem way too small for the blood worms to even pass threw it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was thinking about modifying it tonight and drilling about 40 small (but bigger) holes in the cone so they can suck them out easier???

i only use feeding cone when I feed my discus with live blackworms. Some bloodworms are much larger than the others so best just to throw some cubes inside and let them melt or sink onto the bottom.

you have a good cone, give them time, the last thing you want is bigger holes and have worms spilling out fast, its like training your fish to swim and greet on the top.

also try tapping on tank every time when your gonna feed them, it helps them in not getting spooked.

So eventually they will be able to pick the bloodworms out? I also feed frzn brine shrimp and ground beef heart. They pick that out of the cone with ease.

Besides the bloodworms seeming to be too big, the feeding cone seems to be very good. The food lasts alot longer and all my fish get a turn to fill up. And it doesn't end with a bunch of food scattered all over the tank
