Feeding dat

Looks like a ok size datnoid both in girth and length. To me 5 days is nothing. To give you an idea I didn't feed my 2"ers, 5" and 11" for a little over 2 weeks recently before and during a move to a new city and have gone much longer in the past for decent sized NGT in the past. I would say just be patient and it'll come, especially if the previous owner had is earing what you're offering now.

One more thing, when you look at this IT, it's eyes are proportional with the body so it's likely eaten well since a very small size. Many datnoids have somewhat buggy eyes if they aren't well fed young and growth is slower than it should be early on only to catch up and balance out as they get larger.

This one doesn't appear to have had that issue. So again, just a little patience. It'll come around.

Mine loves to “hunt” mysis when I put it in the stream of my ac110. Also fd plankton was the first non live food it took. Similar to the krill but smaller. Put the dried or frozen food in or near a return line to add some “life” to it.
