I have a 4-5 inch fire eel, and so far I've been feeding it (and a small raphael catfish) a cube of frozen bloodworms a day. I was wondering if I could feed it cut up market shrimp, and what size the piece of market shrimp should be if I could since the mouth of the fire eel seems so small. Also, should I be feeding it anything else?

mine was on bloodworm and sml garden worms and reds "type of worm from fishing bait shop" at that size

not only bloodworms! they have too much fat, not healthy over time.

try cutting market shrimps or smaller portions of other food, you might as well try sinking pellets and the like.

cheers

might take shrimp try krill and other worms to they can be picky but with time and a little hunger they will eat other foods
