feeding fish dog food

I would not recommend cat or dog food, it has too much oils and fats, not really good for fish or water quality. Just use fish food, it's made for fish. I don't know why people need to use food ment for other animals when there is food for the animals you got right on the market.

Costs?

Don't know what fish food goes for over there, but here, the cheapest fishfood is something like $90 to $100 for 10kg (22 pounds), while dog food is only $16 for 15 kg.

I know of a guy who owns a Tim Hortins (donut shop up in canada) and feeds his koi tim bits (aka donut holes) They seem to like it
The koi will end up leaving him to join the force. :naughty:

if there are any fish meal based dog/cat foods it would probably be just fine

i sometimes feed my giant gourmi dog food but only once in awhile.he think's they r treats.
