I heard on here somewhere that some one was feeding their fish beetles and ants. Is it okay to feed these things to my fish? LOL. Man ya can tell I am like soooooo new at this.
I just fed my fish 2 crayfish that I had to tear apart, and that was a challenge. I have never gutted anything in my life!

Yup :) I would rather go grasshoppers and worms myself but ants and beetles are good too:) My opinion..

You could also set up a small snail tank, let them do what they are best at (breeding) and throw a handful in for your fish when they get large enough. I keep a tank so that I can give my YOYO loaches and spotted puffers a snack. Just depends on what you are feeding. Just feed the little snails and watch the unlimited food source grow.

I have fed crickets, meal worms, black worms, blood worms, and daphnia.

I have fed EVERYTHING!!! lol Ticks, beetles, flies, Grasshoppers, ants, stink bugs, lightning bugs, Freeze dried and frozen everything like krill, mtysis shrimp, silversides, daphnia, bloodworms, Blackworms, and tubifex worms. Cichlid flakes, pellets, and basically any bug I can find.

Winged ants and termites also work well, just don't use insects from an area that was sprayed with pesticides or herbacides.
