Currently I have a baby whale mormyrid and he only eats live foods. And I have some other fish that prefer live as well.

So far I have been putting flakes in the tank (there is also a betta and a few guppies) once when I put live food in, and twice a day when I don't.

I have been feeding the baby whale mostly frozen bloodworms. I was getting live brine shrimp once a week but I am cutting back on that slowly.

I have tried glassworms but the baby whale cannot seem to find them and after a minute I cannot either.

I am wondering what other kind of live foods I could feed the baby whale. I am thinking that just bloodworms isn't something that could be fed to the fish everyday permanently. What other live foods have complementary nutrients that I could feed a fish like a baby whale?

Mine has blackworms too, I learned the hard way that unless you have a bare bottomed tank you are better off with frozen blackworms. I was siphoning them out for days!

But that is a good idea, I completely forgot about them. Are they essentially the same as bloodworms healthwise though? I would like to feed the fish a varied of a diet as possible.
