anyone ever feed there fish baby toads and do you think they are safe i have a ton of them all over my property
just curious
i know mice and frogs have been feed to fish before but what about toads

mike

toxic possibly??... do they have glands by their eyes?? :uhoh:

i think your thinking of horn toads

which are actually lizards, one of there defense mechanisms is spraying blood from there eyes.they put pressure on the blood vessels around there eyes The pressure casues the vessels to burst and squirting blood in the faces of there enemys.

with toads those so called "warts" can carry poison that can make an animal very sick or even kill it, some toads are mild enough to just give a bad taste or a tingly feeling in the mouth.

He means those glands that most/maybe all, dunno. toads have by their eyes.

It puts out a milky white substance that is toxic when they feel endangered.
I wouldn't suggest feeding them to fish for that reason alone.
Ive seen feeder frogs, but never feeder toads.
