Hello

today i went to chicken shop and buy some pieces of Heart... i fed it to my flowerhorn it ate quickly.

whether it is good to my fsh health??

I am much worried ...:-(

to be honest id just stick with quality pellet food such as hikari gold and for teats feed them insects such as locusts and smaller fish, prawns:popcorn:

It'll be fine. Beef heart is a common conditioning food for discus. I normally include it in my homemade frozen food as well, which I feed to all of my cichlids. No reason a bit of chicken heart would be harmful. I wouldn't make it the ONLY thing you feed, but a bit now and then would be fine.

Dont feed red meat as its full of saturated fat which fish cant use and it gets deposited in and around the liver, which eventually causes impaired liver function and even failure.

Beef heart is not as bad as it contains far less saturated fat.

Bird meat is a lot better, and (chicken) heart is an excellent occasional food.

I haven't fed a fish beefheart since I quit keeping piranha's. I should get some and see how my jag and red dragon like it. I have a large selection in my fish "pantry", wouldn'r hurt and I am going to get some brine shrimp for my kml fry anyway!
