I was wonder what do you guys feed your limas as stable? Heard raw shrimp here and there but I was wondering will they eat pellets because I have Omega One med cichlid pellets (http://www.omegasea.net/products2.html) and tetra cichlid sticks and he/she wont eat it or not a lot even after starving it. It will eat the Omega One freeze dried shrimp (http://www.omegasea.net/products3.html) thou. So I'm wonder can the freeze dried shrimp be a stable or should I starve it some more?

I feed mine mostly market shrimp and massivore

massivore I was thinking that but how effective is it? does your lima eat it up until it burst or just a little.

My lima never really stuffs himself, my bullhead gets to most of it before he does, but he does eat a healthy amount of of mostly market shrimp. He eats massivore but not nearly as much as the shrimp.

How many shrimps do you feed your 9 in lima and the days you feed it? Is there any side affects because I read that some people's RTC have turn from a white color to a peach color from shrimps. I could go to asian market and pick some shrimp up but may try to starve it first.

I use white shrimp and whenever I feel like my cats need to be fed, sometimes 3 days in a row sometimes only twice a week, (about 5 times a week lately so my lima will grow a little faster) I throw in about 3-4 whole shrimps which is enough then for my bullhead and lima, the lima usually eats about one shrimp and the bullhead eats the rest.

BTW any pics of yours how big is it?

Ok thanks for the replies and no sorry I dont have a picture of it because I haven't gotten around to take one. Also I don't know its exact measurement because I dont want to remove its slim coat with me touching it or getting it caught in the net, but it is about 5-6 inches compared to its size difference from my 3-4 inch cichlids
