i always see people feeding their fish shrimp. i want to know what kind of shrimp you guys are feeding your fish. i feed my pacu's flakes but my jewel cichillid likes to eat meats and worms, i want to try shrimp.

Depending on the fish being fed, most are probably feeding de-frosted market prawns from the supermarkets...

Thats what i feed my fahaka along with pellets, mussels, clams and scallops...

Frozen krill is good too for smaller fish, frozen or fresh shrimp from the supermarket as sugested is also an option sized accordingly for larger fish or cut into peices. Feed as part of a balanced diet not as the sole source of nutrition.

yea thats what i am trying to do, i want my fish to be happy and eat a variety of foods. so just saltwater shrimp from the store?

^ thats what i use... Just make sure they dont have any preservatives etc added to them if its the frozen kind

The only true predator i have is the fahaka in my profile pic, although shes now about 14" vs the 1.5" when i took that photo...

oh i see, yea i have a 90 gallon that i want to upgrade very soon, i have 2 pacu's about 8-10 inches each, 2 plecos one about 10" one 6", a 6" shovelnose tiger catfish or something like that lol, and 2 jewel fish one 3-5" and the other is about 1.5", over crowded right now i know but its better they are in there rather than my moms old tank its a 30 gallon :irked:

i want to start a pred tank after i get a larger tank for the pacu's, like a 500 gal with some bass and i have always wanted an arawana.
