i am new to breeding fish i just need to know
when do i feed my fry, they are still wrigglers not free swiming. will they eat mysis shrimp of crushed up pellets

you can buy liquid fry food.

what fry are they?

I start feeding the 3rd day after they are free swimming. My best fry food is Live Brine Shrimp. Crushed flakes ultra fine, First Bites are also easier . A lot of the time the parents will chew up bigger flakes and scatter it through there gills for the fry. If your tank is well established they will feed on the stuff growing in your tank for the first week or so. I feed Live brine shrimp for the first 4 weeks then start adding crushed flakes to my fry diet. Seems to work well for me..dgarrett

if you want easy then you can crush flakes. An easy method is to put a pile in the center of a paper towel, make a ball out of it and squeeze, squeeze squeeze until the desired size is obtained. It's always best to feed live baby brine shrimp for the first couple weeks until they get some size before weaning onto flake food.
