Feeding Fry

What Types of foods do you feed to malawaian Fry? How long should you keep the mother in with the Fry ? Right now she is in a 10 gallon tank holding the fry inside her mouth. This is my first time with fry. Any info would help.

Strip the mother of her fry. Feed them baby brine shrimp. These can either be hatched, bought as prepared frozen cubes, or bought in a little jar thingy, dried and ready to be fed to the fry. Also, crush up cichlid flakes using a ziplock bag. They can readily consume those. You can also get an egg yolk, put it in a napkin, and swish it around in the water a few times. That way is really messy though. xP
