Has anyone here ever fed thier Oscars or any cichlid for that matter, grubs (white larvae looking things that eat your grass roots.)? I was doing yard work today and dug up about 30 of them. Wanted to get some confirmation before I tried. Thought it would be something different and they might like it.

idk it sounds like theve been exposed to alot of pesticides and fertilizer and i wouldn't do it.

I would agree with that but I dug them up from my garden and the only thing I use to fertalize is fish emulsions and I pull all weeds by hand cause we eat the vegtables that grow in there. But your probably right guess its not worth it to find out the hard way and get them sick or worse.

Grubs are good for them. but I wouldnt due to possible contamination. if you are not 100% I wouldnt do it.

I just did this last weekend. Actually did it Sunday after digging up some grass for a new flower bed. Grabbed 10 or so of all different sizes. My JD, GT and FM chowed em. Even the sunfish ate a couple. If you don't use pesticides go for it

eyah grubs are awesome jst no chemicals

i mean do you love you fish more than the few bucks you'd get from feeding them cheap but tainted food?
i would guess/hope not.
again wouldn't do it
