Feeding gulper cats cod

Hey guys, I accidentally just fed my gulper unsalted cod thinking it was tilapia. According to some sources it’s fine to feed that but I just wanted to make sure and probably feed it some later time. They loved it so I don’t know

If the cod is not oily it will be fine.

It was exactly like the tilapia just smelled stronger

I don't know, but if you are just feeding just fillets, that may not be a balanced diet. I think you should be feeding whole fish.

I feed shrimp and tilapia usually ,soaked in vitachem and stuffed with carnivore pellets. And I have some Sally’s silversides but im not too sure due to the bigger the better feeding them and having his all die except one

From what I understand (and it is difficult to get information), tilapia is very low in Thiaminase.

Cichlids are claimed to be safe in that regard. Still should be fortified if fed alone or almost alone.
