Any tricks out there to get my fire mouth, gt and jd to accept pellets? They only accept frozen and just state at the pellets as they sink.

How big are they?
The best way I have found to change a diet, is to only serve that type of food from now on. They may not eat for a day or 2, but once they realize that it is the pellets or nothing, they will take the pellets.

Edit: In fact it took my cthenapoma almost 5 days to switch from cichlid flakes (which he grew up on with another aquarist) to hikari gold pellets.

They are still little guys only 3 inches. Just want to get them going on pellets so I can use frozen as treats once or twice a week.

How long have they been eating frozen?
The guy I bought them from started then out on frozen. My EBJD eats both I was hoping seeing him eat the pellets they would try it but the other 3 will have no part in it.

Let them wait a couple days. Then try soaking the pellets in Garlic Guard. Only a few at a time. That's how I got my leapord cat to switch, he was stubborn as hell.

I'd starve them out. Those guys aren't nortorious for not accepting pellets.

Starving has a good success rate (100%) , unless you give in.
I have been successful with quite few notorious ones including a peacock bass , who once in a while retaliates by trying to have a go at my hand.
