Feeding Hepsetus odoe

I bought a 5" Hepsetus odoe on Saturday and today it started feeding and ate really on market prawn.
What surprised me was that it only took food off the bottom-is this normal? I had vision of it attcking anything that hit the surface of the tank? Not complaining of course, it just took me by surprise

mine as well...

thing is, he know's when hes goin to be fed so usually he takes the food as soon as it hits the water

Hes started feeding all over now-guess it was just a matter of settling in

Ohh yeah, they just want to be fed, mines also ate where ever it found a morsel.
