Hey all, I have a 125 gallon tank(6x1.5x2), currently with only 6 smaller fish(approx 2-3 inches), bala sharks, pangasius catfish, and silver tip sharks. I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to feed them as they don't seem to often see/find food as I place it in the tank. For the moment I only have flake foods(shrimp and plant mix) which the sharks seem to hate even if they do see it and shrimp pellets which the catfish seem ok with, but the bala's don't seem to like it much. Regardless the fish seemingly find like 10% of the food I toss in and I don't want to just throw food in that'll be uneaten and make a mess. I'm considering getting some blood worms and beef heart and maybe tying it to a suction cup in the mid of the tank, but I'm unsure of any way beyond that to give them easily accessible food. Any ideas?

Hmm that's a tough call I've never kept small fish like that in a bigger tank...you could try one of those feeding rings with the suction cup, at least if your fish come to the surface to eat. Have you had them in there long? They should eventually figure out where the food comes from.

You could also add some scavenger types like shrimp, to get the missed leftovers...they'll get picked off as your pangasius grow of course.

cool, thats kinda what I figured...so far they've been in there about a week and are still kinda iffy on it, i'll get some other foods to try too, cuz it seems they don't like dried food too much. They'll take a bite and usually spit it right out, but i guess they'll eat it once they get hungry enough

i would get some rapheals for bottom feeders. and a feeding ring so the food always come from one spot. and it would never hurt to try a different type of dry food or frozen food.
