I've had my jar for over a month. in the tank is a 14" rtc, a 26" sn, a 10" marble cat. I feed beef heart a lot, and gold fish. I have never seen the jar eat. he acts like he is going after the bh, and turns away. the cats are on the bottom and get the bh there. I figure in time the jar will eat bh. Question do you think he would refuse bh until he dies? or come around when he gets hungry enough? Or die from being stubborn? I think he's getting feeders.

wat size is the jar? Maybe hes feeling a little threatened n scared. If u put feeders in there he'll eat when he is hungry. Give it time to adjust to his environment

you have to be patient. Your going to probably have to sit in front of the tank a good distance away too. Mine still doesn't eat in front of me unless I somewhat starve it... Well I'm talking goldfish but thats cuz he likes hunting with no one bothering him. My jar is a wuss but I heard thats common. My jar is like 9" and he still sometimes hits the tank real good a few times when I wake him or just scare him. I think he is kind of use to me but thats okay. I accept it cuz I think that he's somewhat more natural this way. Sit down in front of him about 7 feet away if you can. thats when I saw mine eat his first goldfish. And I had him since he was 4" and he's not too use to me. Or feels threatened still. He does however eat pellets and crickets in front of me.

Yeah it took a half hour with me sitting there when I first saw him eat the goldfish... It was awesome tho I admit and is quite a memory cuz he was so hungry.
