I just got hold of a Juv royal at approx 7cm.

Its a pain living in AUS because I never get a choice when it comes to sizes :swear:

But anyway what should I be feeding? He doesnt seem to want the bloodworm that the person I bought it off was feeding.

Ive had him for 2 days now. How long can they go without food at this size?

Cheers.

beside bloodworms you can try Krill, Plankton, feeder guppies, worms. I feed my CK chunks of Tilapia

i got mine to eat frozen silver sides and and guppys and black worms and krill and more

Hi Steve, my Royal is eateing blood worms fine im also feeding him small worms.
What iv been doing is puting the blood worms into his cave frozen and he will pick the worms off as they fall to the bottom.

Try that and good luck.

Thomas.

When I had my royal, I fed it frozen bloodworms and then the occassional feeders (once a month). I then started to ween it on pellets. It was then just eating pellets after that.

Thanks mate,

Good to hear that yours is going good. Ill give that a go.

We use a baster and shoot blood worms into his cave. He also like shrimp pellets, and i think he liked some of the other smaller fish that were in there too....because they are gone.

mine eats beef heart and pellets.
