I have read on here that some members feed live crayfish to their rays. I am thinking about doing this. How big of a ray would it have to be to eat a crayfish? Will an 8 inch motoro eat a 1.25-2 inch crayfish? And wouldn't the crayfish pinch the ray? Thanks

i have tried this my leo was 16" at the time
he jumped on the crayfish which was huge and just hammered it the crayfish was pinching him and he did'nt seem to care
it makes a huge mess though so do it right before doing a water change
they cray fish imo won't hurt the ray and u can always pull off the pinchers

rays eat them in the wild.... im sure yours are more then capable to eat them, baby crayfish cant pinch very hard anyways... might take a little bit for them to figure out how to... but they are more then capable of doing it

depends on how big the crayfish is and how strong u are?? LOL
it may be easier to use some dikes and cut them off
i remember i was trippin on the crayfish pinching my ray it was getting him big time but didn't even leave a mark he just sat there and chewed on it

yep, they are made to... actually that way if a fish bites it... they just loose a claw then thier whole life... they grow back eventually

when my rays were small they were afraid of them and i havent tried them since.
