lol I know this sounds like a newbie question, but how would i feed market shrimp. Could i buy the ones that come in a bag or do I have to buy the ones that come from the "bin":nilly:

either or.

I prefer the bin there in, i just toss them in. shell and all.

I buy them frozen in a bag, raw, without the shell.

Wow-shell and all? Can they actually digest the shell?
not entirely but in the wild they eat crustations and they useally don't peal them
but go for the bag depending on the store its useually cheaper plus i know some stores just take the bag cut it open and sell it in the sea food counter just thaw them in COLD water if they get a little red or orange you used to hot of water its important because it helps the protein strands hold togather after being frozen night crawlers are fine as is just cut em up and toss em in

i use frozen mkt shrimp no shells, i cut them up into little mouth sized peices (while its still frozen because its easier to cut)

cool thx i did buy frozen krill at the lfs but its just waay to expensive to keep buying every other week.they are wanting $5 for a 3oz sheet.:WHOA:

Yeah I made that mistake too. Once my endi's broke the 6" mark and with all the new additions recently, there was no way in hell I could keep feeding krill (it was mainly for color in the oscar). :screwy:

The market shrimp isn't that bad. I pay 2.99 for a 16 oz. bag, but those don't last long when my smallest poly (out of 13) is 6-6.5" apx, not including the sb albino :)
