So I bought another Dovii cause my Hujeta killed my last one, this one is also about 1.5" and I gave him his own 29 gallon grow out tank. It's been eating krill and about anything else I put in the tank. It shares the tank with 2 black skirt tetras (was 3 but it killed one of them).
Anyway, my Hujeta only eats live food so I give it small rosies as it's only 4" long. Just to see I picked out the smallest rosie today and put it in the dovii's tank. Within 3 seconds the dovii had it and within the minute it had it all the way down which is odd cause the rosie was 1" long. I'm assuming their stomachs expand to compensate for the large meal but I just wanted to make sure that when it eats a large fish in comparison to the dovii that it will not cause any damage to it.
Also, how ofter should I feed a dovii of this size, I'm thinking maybe it killed the other tetra out of hunger? I only feed it once a day.
