He gotcha! Okay, so my cats have never grabbed my hand, but since my entire hand would fit in their mouth now, I guess I better ask before it happens so I know what to expect. How'd it feel? It looks like it would feel like velcro or sandpaper.

yeah he got me quite well.
they got strength, i will give that
they can pull, but they usually leave after they tug once or twice
yeah it feels like velcro, but even that can draw blood sometimes, but not that bad as a large aggressive cichlid

Cool. I can handle velcro burn. (Worked in an animal hospital and got my fair share of animal bites and scratches.) I just wasn't sure how much crushing power they had.

Very cool video buddy, hows your fingers:grinno:

ever see your TSN?
most of the time during water changes on the weekends
as the pond gets water changes everyday, so if i would be there at home i would see him everyday, but as i come home only on weekends i see him on weekends

Love it. It was great. Glad to hear its not too bad of a grab. I'd imagine the really big guys could give you something similar to bad road rash though.

thanks mate

Apparently, this has happened before to someone on here.

i am happy that he doesn't come up for feeding.
he is way bigger than these guys, and i have seen him hunt those little tilapia and other other barbs i throw in as feeders every week.

i think he would break my arm without much effort

as TSNs don't swallow even dead fish just like that, they are born hunters, the tsn will hunt its food no matter what it is, i have seen my tsn when he small home in on a dried shrimp, floating in the tank, and then go BAM!!

i was like WTF, so even if he comes up, no hand feeding for him :grinno:

Ah, good. You've heard his story as well. :) At least you know what you might be in for. I can't say I'd mind being able to tell people my giant catfish was able to rip me into my pond at his dinner time. :grinno:

How big is your TSN? I totally agree with on TSNs and hunting. My big girl will hunt floating pellets with a vengeance. The floating pellets are not for her, and she gets plenty, but they get her going . Hilarious to watch a 27" TSN hunt a tiny floating aro stick. It's like, you just ate a good meal and now you're gonna worry about that?!?
