Feeding My Freshwater fish worm?

I took a worm from my backyard and put it in some water to get the dirt off to feed to my freshwater fish.

I cut off little pieces to put in and they ate it.

Is this okay to do??

Yes, as long as the yard hasn't be sprayed with fertilizer.

the only issue would be if there is any exposure to pesticides

its fine. But never put em in whole. Ive done it before, and i found them alive awhile later.Freaked me out.

i feed all sorts of stuff i find just be mindful of contamination risks
