been on this. i been feeding my 2 pups tea cup brine shrimp. every one said i need to get live black worms..i got a shipping in today and put some in. they act scared of them them run away when the black worms move around...but they eat the brine shrimp just as fast as i put in..i can see the back body puff up after they been eating so i think the shrimp is doing the job but should i just leave the live black worms in and see if the start on them??

Got any pictures? Other foods you could try would be krill, small pieces of Tilapia and Shrimp, and Massivore. Blood Worms are good for small rays but as they grow they should be switched out with earth worms and black worms. I would try to get the rays off of Brine Shrimp. If you leave the Black Worms in the tank I think they will get eaten eventually.

is it ok to leave the earthworms in the tank for the rays to consume like say an hour later or so? or will the worms contaminate the water because it can be deemed as "leftover" food which should not be in the water?

I think so. Worms can actually survive a while in water. I wouldn't remove them unless they are actually dead.

Leaving them in there too long in my opinion is a bad idea keep a close eye on your water because leaving them in their will change the levels
