I have had my 4 inch TSN since the middle of Jan.I have been hand feeding since i got him,he is healthy and has grown 2 inches in that time(got him at 2 inches)the problem is that i have to chase him around to get him to eat(wich he does very well)If i dont hand him i am affraid he will starve,i have a 3 inch Pacu that doesnt let anything sink to the bottom, also i have a 4 inch Bala shark that loves Shrimp(wich is what i feed my TSN)should i starve him till he actively pursues his meal or continue getting soaked every nite??Any and all advice is appreciated!!!Thanks in advance!!!:headbang2

I've kind of had the opposite problem. My tsn and tsnxrtc haven't started hand feeding yet, they let it sink and then attack it. But they're also the only two in their tank. I would guess that instinct will take over before he will starve to death. But you may have to put him in his own tank until he learns to eat on his own. JMO.

Young TSN's are funny like that ... sometimes they will attack right away but usually they want to feel safe before they will eat on their own... mine will only eat when they are ready... which is after lights out...otherwise they won't eat at all... I've come to learn to stuff my hybrids and then leave some shrimp in the tank.. let the lights go out and they will eat... usually in a hurry to... I guess they don't want the hybrids to get hungry again LOL

Catfish are smart. They soon realize that if they don't get to the food with the rest of the pack, then they'll starve.

I have been thinking about getting rid of the Pacu and Bala shark, but then i really wouldnt have too much movement in my tank.If i can find a smaller sized RTC then i just might.
