Hello all,
I've got a pair of oscars in a 75 with a spiny eel. They are small yet, probably gonna be moving them to more spacious accomodations in the future, but anyway's. I feed the spiny eel frozen bloodworms, white worms, krill, ect. and the the oscars pellets and "krill" (actually look like frozen ghost shrimp to me) cut up some. I feed once a day in the evening. My question is, do I need to feed more? One of my oscars has a bit of a sunken belly, and they act ravenous at feeding times (of course, they are oscars).

A quality staple pellet 2 x daily is sufficient. Bloodworms, krill, earthworms, etc can be given sparingy.

Its good that you are giving them frozen food, it stimulates the feeding response. You should get them on a good pellet and as stated above, feed them twice per day. Unless it is sick or has a parasite, it should fatten up, but considering the growth rate of young fish, they need plenty of food.
