Feeding pellets and growth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How's the growth for aros being fed with only pellets? or pellets as staple n a little treat such as prawns, or sw every once in a while?

IDK specifically but i know feeding pellets with a lil treat of MP is better than pellets only

Blackp.. hi.. you've got to look at it in two ways.. the quantity or schedule of feeding and the quality of the feed.. and these two depend on the size of the fish.. smaller the aro.. you will require more feedings per day.. say about 4" will require about 3 to 4 times a day.. post 6", twice a day.. post 15", a day should be fine.. and usually post 24" every other day should be fine (though i feed my aros every day) this will determine quicker growth etc.. but again more feeding more filtration etc.. so all these are linked together.. the quality of the food.. yes pellets are a good option.. doesn't have to be hikari only.. any pellet that they can chow down but again with more protein and less ash.. but if you doubt the legitimacy of a brand.. just dont think twice.. i'm not against mp.. there are better alternatives if you can get them.. tilapia is something i'd recommend.. chunks of tilapia will do well.. all the best..

If only on stick, aro won't grow as fast. my silver only grew 13" in one year on sticks and superworms, shrimp, and crickets every now and then. Silver arowanas tend to like Hikari sticks brand more than other brands. Jardini arow don't like sticks very much. once they get a taste of superworms, they dobn't want to go back to sticks. my jardini arow actually remembers!

Bro, dont even worried. U should be happy ur aro is pellet trained. Just give it mp or live stuff as treats like once a week or so.

Dont make the mistake like me where my jardini was pellet trained and after i fed it superworms, it completely stop eating pellets
