Here's a bunch of photos of my fat Hystrix! She is 2 years old and growing fast!! I currently have her in a 125, so I need to upgrade once I move out of my 3rd FLOOR APARTMENT!!!!! I have Proclear Aquaics 300 wetdry filter on it with a 40 watt Pond Master UV sterilizer. SO I have plenty of Filtration for her....I just need a bigger tank. Anyway Enjoy the photos:

That's not the true hystrix though is it? How big is it?

I really have no idea. It was sold to me as a Guyana and lots of people on MFK told me it was a Hystrix...so I am not sure. Her disk is about 10" or so and her total body legth is around 18-19".

Oh maybe it is then, I just didn't notice the humps that hystrix have in the pictures... maybe it's just me

What do you think it is then? I really think its a mix of two already mixed Hystrix, because when the LFS sold it to me as a Guyana I looked it up and I could only find where stingrays named Guyana only mean that the ray came from there not that Guyana is its species name. The country of Guyana has lots of stingrays....not just hystrix so I have no idea what I sould be calling my ray.......My roomates named her Irwin (in memory of The Crocidile Hunter).....kind of wrong but the name has stuck for over a year now.

defiently not a hystrix....., it is a humerosa.... I used to hace one as well nice ray....
