FEEDING PIKE CICHLIDS...

I just got a new pike and I'm new to them and i was wondering what foods they will take in place of live feeders as I don't wanna use them as a primary food source...

Most pikes will eventually take pellets, but you may have to fast them for awhile. Just feed only pellets until it starts taking them. If you don't want to do that, you can cut up frozen market shrimp and feed that.

Convert him to frozen food first, like blood worms. Then convert him onto pellets.

i got mine to eat freeze dried krill.

The diet will depend on what kind of pike it is. Most of them are insectivores, so crickets would be a good choice.

mine eats, pellets, market shrimp, krill, and even bloodworms i feed to other fish
