I've been feeding 6 baby piranah half a block of blood worm per day. But they don't seem to take it straight away, and when they do take some, they only pick at it.

I've looked in a few places, and read that you shouldn't feed them more than they can eat in 5 mins. But as they are not eating it straight away I dunno if im feeding them too much/too little.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :woot:

from just hatched to a month, they should be on live newly hatched brine shrimp.i was hatching brine shrimp once a day, they are easy to get and hatch. if your babies are a older then that, try live brine shrimp or small baby guppies, they perfer live food. i have never had any luck with anything other then live food... and i have had piranahs for 15 years and lots of them and many different species of them. they seem to be one of the hardest babies to raise, beause they will eat each other and some are picky eaters. hope that helps some. if you have any other questions you can pm me.

Do you unthaw the cubes first?

I used to feed my baby rbp frozen blood worms and they eat it well.

Maybe check your water parameters. and try adding more aeration. I've noticed that rbp's like stronger than normal water current and strong aeration.

how much current is 2 much current, and how much air is 2 much air
