Feeding Piranhas

Hi Guys, I feed my RBP frozen sprats at the moment and there quite costly. I'm enquiring if its possible to feed the small fish that I catch from a river near me that people swim in as well. These will be killed frozen and then fed to my fish. Does anyone do this at all or have any suggestions about this method of feeding. (I do not feed my fish live bait)

Yes definitely freeze the fish prior to feeding to the RBP because wild fish could have parasites and other harmful pathogens on them.

I catch trout from local fishery gut them cut up into decent size portions and freeze them, my rbp’s love it and seem to be very healthy.
