I want to start to feed my fish, mostly tigrinus, some shrimp. Do you guys buy and feed raw with shell and legs? or do you boil it and just use the flesh? Have heard some people do it either way but whats healthier?

I feed them raw with the shell and legs removed. It is better to feed with the shell on however because the shell contains betacarotine and other things that help with color. My fish are mostly picky and eat a lot more when I remove the shell for them.

either with or without the shell. just remove the head and tail. but other people feed them with live shrimp. its healthier, they say, if you feed them with live shrimp. but with me, i feed my jardini with raw.

Raw, shell on for those that eat it, shell off for smaller fish that pick at it.

I usually eat the shrimp, shell off, sometimes raw, sometimes as shrimp scampi or stir fried. Then I feed free- range earthworms or freeze dried krill to the fish. :)

Raw, shell and legs included. Sometimes with the head and tail, just break off the head big spike and the tail spike (telson). To te smaller ones, no shell and cut in small pieces.

Best regards.

Daniel.
