Hi all, I've just joined you group as I'm looking for a little help if anyone doesn't mind, my problem is I've just got a black arowana to go in my tank and I can't get it to feed it's been 3days since I picked it up, it's showing no interest in anything I'm trying to feed floating pellet which is what the lfs was feeding, any help would be much appreciated, thank you

Welcome to MFK Rob1976 Rob1976 :) This is typical for Aro's give it a little more time to get comfortable in its new environment. Also if you didn't already do it toss in live or plastic floating plants to make Aro feel more secure. Once Aro starts feeding well offer other floating foods .

Sorry for the late reply, I've put any plants in my tank, but I will do if it will improve things, also I have my tank in my front room and when ever someone enters the room or moves the arowana throws a wobbler

Arrowanas are notorious fuzzy eater. They usually prefer live food. If it is feeding floating pellets, consider yourself lucky.

tlindsey tlindsey nailed it. You can also try some krill or bloodworms to get him eating for now. Be sure to keep a lid on him.
