i was wondering about how many pellets would you feed a 8in flowerhorn a day. i had my new guy for 2 days now and he is eating about 30 plus a day and still wanting more. this is split up though the day today he ate 17 so far. he's also getting krill bloodworms, worms and shrimp as treats. and question 2, my fish was kept in a 20g tank for a yr at this store the dude said it was 2in and grew from there in that small tank. it might of even been a 10g it was horrible after 2 days in my 125g all by it self i'm noticing his head has gotten bigger and his color way more brighter.his head looks 2 times the size of when i got him.would this be from from being in my bigger tank with better water.

You are only supposed to feed your FH until about 75% full. Its really a guess but 30 pellets a day seems like alot. It also depends on pellet size. If you are using hikari large then 30 is way too much. I feed mine about 10 of the hikari 2 times a day and he still wants more but I just dont give it to him. If you are using smaller pellets then take a good guess but I dont feed FH until full.

i'm feeding the medium hikiri bio gold 3 times a day pellets the first 2 feedings then a treat of krill or shrimp or bloodworms on the 3rd feeding,i'll cut down on the feedings to 2times a day 10 pellets then treats at night

At his size,no more than 2x a day and only as much as He can eat in 3-5min
