just to clarify i dont feed everything above daily he has only eatin crickets once...daily he usually just eats pellets and blkworms(but havent had any for a few days)

anyways any help is appreciated

Mine is about that size and eats 1-2 medium sized market shrimp per day. I would just rotate a decent amount of those foods through weekly, maybe try shrimp and smelt as well.

i tried smelt(when he was a little smaller) didnt go for it i was thinkin of tryin shrimp since i wanna get my ray on it too...
so would you say 1 earthworm and some pellets is enough for a day

Yea, you could even feed heavy one day and skip the next. I usually keep my feeding schedule random at best. Seems to keep them more alert and active rather than set in a routine lol

yea my schedule is deff random and i usually give my fish a day or 2 of fasting

I feed my guys 6 nights a week, and a variety of food. Crikets, superworms, and earthworms are a good food to get there diet kick started. Just remember that they are very addictive and hard to feed any different foods after a period of time. I feed my guys the following alternating them all the time:

Market Prawns - with Kent zoe vitamins
Salmon
Tuna
Catfish
Haddock
Trout
Smelts
And Superworms as a treat once every couple weeks.

Just some ideas...

Good luck

thanks for the help...what would be good to feed to help fins...his/her fins are tore in a few places

ur diet is good. dont worry abt the fins it will heal up nicely as long as the aro is in good water condition AND NO OTHER fish that might take nips off its fins and tails. as for ur original question on how much u shud feed ur aro... it will really depend on the aro itself, some aros eats like there no tomorrow and some just eats a little. there will also be a time where ur aro seems to be always hungry and a time when it will fast.

by spending more time feeding ur aro, someday u will know its feeding capacity, when u know this, dont feed him too much at one go, rather divide it by feeding 50% at morning and at 50% night. I dont really know where im going on this reply. lol so i think ill end here. :P
