Feeding rb piranha

I have 3 rb piranha. They're growing super quick and coloring nicely but I've had this problem since I got them. If whatever I feed them doesn't fall almost in front of their face they won't eat it. They also don't eat off the top of the water or the bottom. How normal is this? They know when I put food in the water because they start swimming around and looking for it but if it hits the bottom it will sit there until I scoop it out.

What are you feeding them?
 
how regularly are you feeding them?Are you over feeding them therefore they are being way too selectively?

I was feeding them twice a day but have recently switched to once a day. I think they're around 2" now. I may have been over feeding them...
 
Water parameters are good.

If it's from overfeeding me switching to once a day feeding should help right?

I would even go with every other day if you ask me. But being juveniles, possibly once a day should be a good start.
