Just curious, what kind of feeding regimen do you have your gar on? Do you feed differently for yoy and adults?

I'm feeding:
Feeders (much more infrequently, but still at least once a week)
Market Shrimp
Tilapia Fillet
Freeze Dried Krill
Floating Cichlid Sticks

I'm currently feeding my Florida gar every day, once in the evening between 7pm and 10pm.

I'm feeding the shortnose gars once to twice a day with feeders.

How about you guys?

im still working on a final feeding & WC regime, but here's how i roll now.

2 cubans 22" and 23"
feed 5pcs shrimp each on mondays
2pcs shrimp on thursday and friday.

40% change on wednesday and 25% change on sunday

big florida gets shrimp. 2 or 3 times a week, 2 or 3 shrimp sometimes 4. little guys get feeders. about 4 a day are dropped in. what they catch is what they catch. they dont eat then they should be faster. Has resulted in active gar, not just them laying on the bottom. They still ambush hunt, but when one isnt able to catch a feeder for a few days then he will chase down a feeder lightning quick!! about a 60% WC once every 2 weeks.

2 Floridas in the 125 (14 and 12 inches roughly speaking)
I feed once a day, they will come to the top to eat and if not they don't get fed
(hand fed)

Shrimp, earthworms, panworms, pellets at times(soaked in water), dried tubifex worms

50% WC's on all tanks(weekly)
