I was wondering, at what length do you guys stop feeding your aro daily? Silver Aros more specifically. I ask this because I've never had an aro over 12 inches so I'm not exactly sure when would be the best time to switch up his feeding schedule. I've been feeding mine 2 times daily which I'm sure is fine for the time being since he is only 9 inches.

I also remember reading about people feeding their aros maybe twice a week so how big should the aro get before I start considering this? Don't get me wrong, I'm not being lazy. I enjoy feeding my fish, I just don't want to be overfeeding my baby and possibly cause health problems in the future.

Thanks in Advance

My silvers around 2' and i feed him pellets once a day, but every second day he'd get prawns aswel. Been working well for me.

i've been feeding my silver twicw a day, sometimes once. he recognizes e prepare to jump when i show some insects.
but sometimes i put feeders with him, and then he decides when and how much he want to eat. some feeders resist 3 to 4 days, meybe more.
today i put aroun 15 tilapias, some already died, some become food, the others are afraid as hell of him, ehehehe

For me, small fish less than 12 inches I will try to feed 2-3 times a day. When they're much bigger, twice a day and bigger one once a day.

My guys are on a twice a day feeding schedule. They get pellets in the morning and the market shrimp/fillet/krill at night.

i feed my little aro w/ eggsack 3-4 times a day...i feed him flake food...so i limit his eating to 5-6 flakes per sitting...

Ok, thx for the input guys. I'll stick to the daily feedings.

Once my silvers got around24" they became sluggish feeders, often not even eating when food was offered on a daily basis. I now feed 4 days a week, no feeding on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

I find feeding mine twice a day to be good.. morning and night..
Both are at 18-20",
