Feeding shrimp

How do you guys feed market shrimp to your bichirs? Do you peel them first or do you cut the heads off or something? Also, can I feed shrimp more than once a week? And has anyone tried feeding other small fish for sale in the market? Sorry for bombarding you guys with too many questions.

i just buy the ones that have nothing on them but the meat anything else could seriously injure them. I depending on how many times a week you feed your polys if you feed them 2 times a day or more then you can feed it 1-2 time possibly 3. I personally feed scallops not sure their nutritional value etc.., I haven't really seen much about them on the internet, but my polys eat them. Then again i've only fed scallops once... I also and many other people also feed tilapia, I've heard some people feed cod, i've heard about people feeding mussels.

Thanks! I think I should just remove the heads. Have you tried feeding fresh anchovies? Theyre really common here and theyre small enough to be fed whole. Not sure abt nutritional value tho. I also feed carnivore pellets and pangasius (dori) fillets. Havent tried tilapia cause I would still have to fillet them if I buy some.
