Hello everybody,
Is it ok to feed my baby silver arowana catfish bait like shad/bloodworm dough? or is it more healthier to go with carnivore sticks?
Thanks

hikari tropical food sticks are def all round nutrition and you don't have to worry bout freezing it.. unfreezing it..etc etc.. but tad expensive in the longer run (4 silver aros and when my pacu and oscars also dig into it.. well my wallet is a black hole) if you have more fish.. not too sure about shad and the dough.. for a small silver try small pieces of fish (shad if you want.. i give tilapia, anchovies, mullet, shrimp and sometimes squid) start with one food at a time.. let the aro bulk up and put on a couple of inches and you can try different types of fish..

Ok thank you guys,
He is already eating lots of shrimo/worms but I just wanted to add some more nutrition to his diet. So, i'll go and get some carnivore sticks.
Thanks

you can go to walmart and get some trout worms or feed him shrimps! I think shrimps is the cheapest way to do!

i feed mine all sorts of stuff aros aren't that picky.

shrimp, night crawlers, salmon, trout, tilipia, bloodworms, crickets, blackworms, clams, carnivore pellets, squid, octopus, etc.

i feed him a good variety because i have a ray there and people say that rays luv variety in food so ya. i would not try any fishing bait other than nightcrawlers cause fishing bait isn't really made for nutritious value and doesn't really get your fish healthy just to attract fish to get on your hook. so i would say no to fishing bait shrimp is probably cheapest.

Hello everyone,
I got the hikari cichlid pellets.

cool mate.. if you read up most of hikari's ingredients. they are usually the same except for a few additions and exclusions with different ratios.. i've tried this on my aros and they never seemed to touch it.. there is a hikari tropical food sticks with a picture of an aro in the packaging.. get that too.. and prob if you start mixing these two right from the beginning your aro wil eat it.. cheers..
