I'm getting a 2-3" B.Juruense in on Monday and am curious as what to feed it. I was thinking of blackworms to start? Then work my way up to bloodworms, pellets, shrimp, and beefheart?

A 2-3" inch fish should readily take frozen krill and small pcs. of whitefish or silversides. One prob with juruense is tankmates, does it have any? They sometimes will out compete the juruense for food. Make sure he is getting his share. A foodstick works great for this. Might I also add, they love perching on piece of driftwood facing into a current. Great fish and good luck!

It's going into an overfiltered 10g as a growout right now. I need to move my Pbass out of there and into another tank. I also have a royal pleco in there? Should he stay or go? Also, should I invest in a powerhead?

move the pleco out

I ordered 3, only got one, go figure. Anyway, I've got this one in with the royal pleco in a 10g. Only decor is a large piece of driftwood. Filtration comes from an AC50 and a small powerhead. The Jur spends most of his day swimming against the current...good sign no? He's eating blackworms like its going out of style. He was a little banged up, so I'm going to let him recover before I attempt to get him onto other foods.

good...
grow that sucker out
