My California Round pups are now over 2 months old and all I have been feeding them is PE Mysis because thats the only thing they would eat at first but now should I wean them off of that and give them more of what the mom eats like sqiud, shrimp,scallops,fish flesh and such ? I thought I read too much of a protein diet isn't good either.

I don't know much about ray pups, but I'd assume a varied diet would be good for them if they'll accept it. If it were me, I think I would cut some of the same foods you feed the mother in to really small pieces and feed it to the pups. Again, I have NO experience raising ray pups.
PE Mysis is far better than the regular crap mysis a lot of places sell.
If you mix in other things slowly, it will be best... but don't worry too much if all they will eat is the Piscine stuff. It's actually very well rounded for nutrional values. Somewhere I have a graph showing it compared to a few other kinds of mysis. I'll see if I can dig it out for you.

The PE Mysis has 69% protein compared to 10 % on other mysis just wondered if to much protein could hurt them. I feed some of the same food i feed the mom and they ate alittle but not like they usually do but i will give them both.
I think you're doing everything right. The new pond looks great. And +1 on the PE mysis, I feed it to all my fish and they look great.
