New pick up 2 Synodontis Multipunctatus (cuckoo cats) almost full grown.
I added them to a mixed rift lake tank, since this is the first time I have had this species in a Cichlid setup I am noticing its hard to get food to them
I've tried the sinking pellets and my fish still manage to devour everything in their path.
Only way i can think of to ensure they get enough to eat is to feed after lights out not sure if this will work and if it does whats a good amount and what type of pellet etc would be best.

I've had one in African set up for about a year, and I feed the whole tank NLS sinking pellets. The cichlids are voracious eaters, but the synodontis multipunctatus still gets his fill. They're more active at night, or if you turn of the lights, but I feed during the day, so it didn't take long for my guy to come out during feeding time.

I have 3 petricola (full grown) in my hap 65. They are similiar to your cats. Like above poster I use NLS sinking pellets. Trust me cichlids are messy eaters and the cats will find the food.

I use a piece of PVC to feed the bottom dwellers in my African setup. I'll feed the majority their NLS and when they start to get full I'll put in a PVC pipe and drop the food through that to ensure it gets to it's intended diners without being picked off.
