If male and female are still hanging around them does this mean they are not yet free swimming? (Newby)
It's been about 10 days since hatching.

are they trying to swim or are they on the ground in a plie?

Yes they are definitely swimming, I guess when they say free swimming I thought since ma and pa were still hangin with them that it was not considered free swimming.

Sitting here watching , I guess the fry are all hanging together but are seemingly venturing out from time to time away from others.

Also is minced krill also ok ?

ok then u can feed them live or frozen baby brine shrimp. GL if u have any more Q u can ask me.

...remember Baby brine shrimp, (newly hatched within 8 hrs of hatching) is when they still have the yolk sack, and are protein rich. After the 8 hr window they are not as good and you might as well use something like hikari First bites...
I just had a hatch of managuensis, and they love the baby brine shrimp, but they are kinda a hassle to hatch, (Takes 36HRS-then 8hrs to feed to the brood)I bought a hatchery kit and you have to keep the 8.0+PH water 82-84f for 24-36 hours for them to hatch...
