Hey guys,

I've got a couple peacock bass right now and was wondering how you guys feed them tilapia?

Do you just buy the kinds for human consumption, or what?

I feel like if I dropped in a piece, it would just break apart and leave a mess for me to clean up..

I buy the frozen tiplia from walmart each fillet is individually wrapped.. I just place the unwrapped piece in a bowl of water to defrost once defrosted I open the package up. Then cut to required size with scissors and feed.... they usually dont leave any to spoil on the bottom.....

:iagree:
I cut the filets while frozen so that I can take what I am going to use and refreeze the rest. I am feeding bass that are only 2"-5" and they don't miss a piece.

Many lovely little bass u got there bro, got to upgrade the tank soon:D

Yep

Ive been feeding my cichla trout filets that I catch while fishing lately. But I feel that it is a little too fatty. So now im trying out some whiting filets. Super cheap....$3 a lb.
