Feeding Time

One of the coolest things about owning bichirs is: You get to watch them eat.

I had fed these guys pretty well yesterday, but decided to still get a feeding video today. You should see them if I skip a day. Once the Dels pack some size on, I think I might have the effect I'm going for.

What are you feeding them? Mine is like 4" and barely ever moves only during nightime. He eats pellets readily though.

My guys are maniacs when they are hungry. My secret is to keep the temp 82 degrees or above, and feed 2-3 small feedings a day...


In this video they are eating some tilapia I cut into strips and chunks... They love it. Next time I'll get a video of what happens when I skip a day of feeding and then drop in a big chunk of fillet... The deathrolls that follow are awesome.

Thanks. The 3 smaller sens are a year old right now... The larger sen I am not sure. At least a year and a half. My three dels are WC, so I am guessing they are a few months old at least.

All of them are voracious eaters. My BGK is like a vacuum cleaner.
