There is at least one Florida gar. The "false gar" is a spotted pike characin. Your gar will eventually rip it to pieces. (My experience anyways, with same species as you and even the same sizes if the pictures are a good indicator).

Great looking gar's man , i never feed pellets or other canned or packet stuff to my gar.. he eats fresh caught fish ... and in Maldives its hard to feed any thing else lol
