They look almost cute at that size, you have two different species? They look very different in color, maybe just the lighting. Lol at 0:26 the dorado smashed into another

These two are from the same locale, these two are low land goonch, there's one more which is a high land goonch, he is yet to be tamed.

Yup, the Dorado, keep reminding each other of their immense power, but nothing extreme, minor scale loss most of the time.

Lol well, there I go backing my statement up if me not being an expert in goonch whatsoever. So HLG are more aggressive? Or is it just the specimen you have?

Do you plan to keep them altogether? I know you've got the pond with gars etc, feel like you mentioned rehiring them to keep the dorado, not sure, will you be putting the goonch with the dorado then? Temps would be a issue wouldn't they?

When I say, not yet tamed, I meant he doesn't move around much when the lights are on.

yup plan to rehome the gars and the catfish, when I move the tors and the Dorado and the bagarius together.

The lowland goonch, come from a similar climate, as the Dorado and the tors. So there shouldn't be much of an issue, and they have already made it two years in my tanks, that are kept at room temperature.

The highland goonch and an undescribed Neolissochilus from the same locale of the high land goonch, are my two new acquisitions, and this is their first summer, they seem to be doing well till now.

How long did it take for yours to actively hunt/search for food I've had my rutilus for about 5-6 months now and he will only really go after stuff that's blown in to his face either by current or me tossing it to him but he's never really moved from his cave to go after food even if it's been a week or 2 without eating.

The first time I got a bagarius, it was a 16" specimen and was a lowland goonch, it took about a month to get it catch food flowing towards it. And after another month it used to come to the front pane and beg for Pellets.

These two I got two years ago at 5", and they started eating pellets within the end of the week, absolutely no issues. I did have a power head that was moving the Pellets around in their bare bottom tank.

Although the new high land goonch that I received is almost 18",but this one hunts and eats only after lights out and has been in my care for almost 3 months now
